Interviews with the Seven Judges of the

Porcia International Trombone Competition 2007

This video was made in order to share the wisdom of seven master teachers and players who judged the 2007 Porcia Trombone Competition: Andrea Conti, Andrea Bandini, Michel Becquet, Abbie Conant, Ingemar Roos, Jacques Mauger, and Gusztáv Höna.

Each person answered five questions:

1. What are some of the most important things you  look for when judging a competition?

2. What are some of the most important things you have learned from your teachers?

3. What are some of the most important things you have learned from your students?

4. What is the ideal trombone sound?

5. If you had 30 seconds to give a lesson, what would you say?

You can listen to the entire video or use the table below it and click on each person's photo to go direct to their interview.
